A Leadership Consultant
Who Looks
Through an Intergenerational Lens
Drawing
on her extensive knowledge of and experience with management and leadership
development, Joyce now also utilizes her expertise in helping managers
develop the performance management skills necessary to engage, manage
and retain all generations - with a special focus on Gen Y (a.k.a. Millennials).
Why
Intergenerational Training and Why Now?
For the first time in history, four generations are working side by
side: Traditionalists, born before 1945, Baby Boomers 1946 - 1964, Gen
X 1965 – 1979 and Gen Y 1980 - 1989. Each brings their own work
ethics, values, work styles, which at times could cause frustration
and conflict. Recognition of intergenerational differences and the varying
skills and approaches needed to bridge the gap between these differences
should be included in the training and development initiatives of all
companies.
Grillo Leaderships Initiatives Can Help
Joyce looks through and applies an “intergenerational lens”
to all her consulting work. This helps her clients to acquire the skills
necessary for managing and leading across all generations. Joyce believes
that if appropriately engaged and managed these four generations can
be harnessed to produce tremendous results.
